International Journal of the Inclusive Museum

The International Journal of the Inclusive Museum addresses the key question: How can the institution of the museum become more inclusive? The journal brings together academics, curators, museum and public administrators, cultural policy makers, and research students to engage in discussions about the historic character and future shape of the museum.

The International Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Economic, and Social Sustainability aims to create an intellectual frame of reference and to support an interdisciplinary conversation presenting innovative theories and practices of sustainability. Candidates for inclusion in this survey journal include works by invited contributors and top-ranked articles selected from thematic journal submissions for their wide applicability and interest.

The International Journal of Environmental Sustainability focuses on sustainable ecosystems, urban environments, agriculture, energy systems, water use, atmospheric quality, and biodiversity.

The International Journal of Sustainability in Economic, Social, and Cultural Context invites research on sustainability practices, including documentation of case studies and exegeses analyzing the effects of these practices.

The International Journal of Sustainability Policy and Practice addresses sustainability agendas and the practices flowing from these in government, corporate, and community sectors.

The International Journal of Climate Change: Impacts and Responses seeks to create an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of evidence of climate change, its causes, its ecosystemic impacts, and its human impacts. The journal also explores technological, policy, strategic, and social responses to climate change.

The Journal of Tourism and Leisure Studies provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for scholarly studies in tourism and leisure studies. Articles may be focused within disciplinary boundaries, however, many also take an interdisciplinary approach, at times necessarily so given the complex and expansive nature of the questions raised.

International Journal of Diversity in Organizations, Communities, and Nations

The International Journal of Diversity in Organizations, Communities, and Nations: Annual Review aims to create an intellectual frame of reference, and to support an interdisciplinary conversation on the impacts of cultural difference and diversity in today’s societies. Candidates for inclusion in this survey journal include works by invited contributors and top-ranked articles selected from thematic journals of the collection.

The International Journal of Community Diversity examines the processes of governance and democracy in diverse communities. It explores the consequences of global human movement (e.g., immigrants, refugees) on local communities, and, in response, the development of multicultural policies and practices. It also investigates community self-governance and community capacity development.

The International Journal of Diverse Identities exposes the social, historical, cultural, and psychological dynamics of identity.

The International Journal of Diversity in Education compares strategies for negotiating cultural differences in the classroom, from the micro-dynamics of pedagogy, to the agendas of curriculum and assessment.

The International Journal of Organizational Diversity includes analyses of the impact of government and regulatory policies on workplace diversity and discusses various management practices that promote and encourage inclusivity.

The International Journal of Technology, Knowledge, and Society explores innovative theories and practices relating technology to society. The journal is cross-disciplinary in its scope, offering a meeting point for technologists with a concern for the social and social scientists with a concern for the technological. The focus is primarily, but not exclusively, on information and communications technologies.

Equally interested in the mechanics of social technologies and the social impact of technologies, the journal is guided by the ideals of an open society, where technology is used to address human needs and serve community interests. These concerns are grounded in the values of creativity, innovation, access, equity, and personal and community autonomy. In this space, commercial and community interests at times complement each other; at other times they appear to be at odds. The journal examines the nature of new technologies, their connection with communities, their use as tools for learning, and their place in a “knowledge society.”

The perspectives presented in the journal range from big picture analyses which address global and universal concerns, to detailed case studies which speak of localized social applications of technology. The papers traverse a broad terrain, sometimes technically and other times socially oriented, sometimes theoretical and other times practical in their perspective, and sometimes reflecting dispassionate analysis whilst at other times suggesting interested strategies for action.
